Following there is a pool of essay topics. YOU SHOULD CHOOSE ONLY ONE TOPIC, in order to write your essay. The list of topic will be given to you a week in advance before the Midterm, in order to study for it.
The essay should be not less than 3 PAGES long (double space). In preparing the essay, try to answer to all the questions of your selected topic. You must include material from the lectures, the textbook and the handouts.  If using external internet sources or other textbooks you SHOULD PROVIDE A DETAILED LIST OF MATERIAL USED, including the page number, as the page 4th of your essay
Students are encouraged to write the essay in WORD, use Time Roman, size 12,  and SUBMIT AS ATTACHMENT RTF. FILE. Do not use bold or color, keep the text of your essay as simple as you can. If you want to retain the formatting, it is better to use HTML.
BEFORE YOU START TYPING YOUR ESSAY, MAKE SURE TO TYPE THE TOPIC OF YOUR ESSAY.  No make-up exams. A missed exam shall count as a failing grade.

What are the factors, which influenced in the decline of Roman Empire?
4) The Greek Polis was a unique concept and way of life in the ancient world. Describe and discuss it s nature, the consequences of this political concept for Greek history. Describe and discuss the outlines of Greek political history in both external and internal conflicts. Discuss the process of Greek colonization and the concept of Democracy.
