Has to be a five page paper about ecology/ethics/environmental science. We focused on the rights of nature and David Boyd’s “The Rights of Nature”. This was my point of inquiry that got approved:
The earth and the ecological system that it lives on began to deteriorate naturally as the human population continued to grow and take over more land. As the human intelligence and technology increases, the climate continues to decrease. Capitalism has run a rampage with greenhouse gas emissions, mining and burning fossil fuels, and deforestation. As a result, the climate change has gotten to a point of possible no return with rising temperatures, natural disasters, and extinction due to dehydration. It is up to us now to begin to fix the wrongs that generations of humans have created. “Native people in our own reservation communities must dialogue about change, the path ahead, the options, and how we will make a better future for our children” (LaDuke 235).
