Please answer the following questions:
1. As a rising photographer who has recently been recognized for several impactful images, why might you explore copyright protection? Consider and explain what it would offer and what, if any, limitations that you should be aware of. Finally, address how this differs from “exclusive rights” and which might be the most applicable in regard to the images you’ve been recognized for?
2. You are preparing for a debate in your debate class. The topic is “fair use” and “fair dealing” when it comes to creative works of art and whether this concept is enough to protect artists. You do not yet know which side of debate you will be arguing, so you must prepare for both. Analyze these concepts and provide insight for the belief that fair use and fair dealing are explicit enough to protect an artist’s work as well as for the belief that they aren’t enough to protect an artist’s work.
3. Understanding the copyright status of images found online can be difficult but important as it will help to ensure that you stay well within the law when using and/or posting online. Find three different images online that all have different copyright parameters (can use freely, must give credit to artist, can alter, etc.), with one of these images being in the public domain. Paste these images into your answer or describe them and explain the copyright status of each, clearly evaluating how and where you could use each image appropriately.

Imagine that you have been asked to create an original work of art using multiple solutions from direct observation, original sources, experiences, and imagination in order to demonstrate your artistic intent and personal themes. What would you create? Describe this original work of art and the various solutions that you would use to create it.
5. Find a photography image online that you feel could benefit from some editing. Identify and evaluate the media, technique, and process that you would use to edit, revise, or modify this photograph. Analyze why you made these choices and how they would impact the photograph for the better. Paste the photograph into your answer or describe it prior to explaining how you would edit it.
